Who We Are

Engage Florida Civic Fund builds civic equity and power through voter engagement, civic education, leadership development, and local and state issue advocacy. We center Gen Z and millennial voters, building our multiracial generation’s power as voters, leaders, and organizers to create the future we want to live in.

What We Do

Engage Florida strengthens a culture of locally driven democratic participation of diverse communities, builds power to implement change, and works to advance a young people-led issue agenda that protects and invests in our communities. To build a multiracial democracy that truly represents, we are laser focused on:

  • Increasing Youth Voter Registration and Turnout
  • Spreading Nonpartisan Civic Education
  • Developing Young Leaders and Building Community
  • Defending Voting Rights and Access to Democracy
  • Advancing the Young People’s Priorities at the local and state level

Our History

Engage Miami was founded in 2015 by local millennials who wanted to organize for a more civically engaged Miami and were sick and tired of young people not having our voices heard. Engage has grown every year to better serve our communities and increase civic equity and engagement. In 2019 we began expanding our voter engagement programs to Broward, and in 2022 to Palm Beach County. In 2024 we are officially getting a brand new name, and are becoming Engage Florida to reflect this growth and the need for youth civic engagement across the state.

We’ve registered over 30,000 voters, won early voting sites on campuses, created nonpartisan voter guides, educated thousands of students, and brought our members together with partners to develop a platform that represents us at the local level, the Young People’s Priorities. We can’t wait to build with you and see where we go next!
